Color is such an individual choice, and one that you really must figure out for yourself. I could give you my opinion but that doesn't get you any closer to figuring out what you really want. One way to find out is to close your eyes right now…which one did you see? If it’s the Vintage Sunburst than get that one, if it’s the Ebony then get the Ebony finish. For what it's worth I like the Vintage Sunburst. Enjoy your new guitar!

Color is such a personal thing, and something I can't really advise you on. The best way I know to help you figure it out for yourself is to tell you to do the following: <strong>close your eyes right now</strong>...which one did you see? If it's the Vintage Sunburst than get that that one, if it's the Honey Burst...well you get the idea. If I was the lucky one with such a choice in front of me I would go with the Vintage Sunburst. Good luck!

The Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus has Burstbucker Pro with Alnico V pick ups. The Gibson Les Paul Studio uses 490R and 498T Alnico 2 magnet humbucker pickups. So the pickups <em>are</em> slightly different, unless you get the faded finish model. Additionally I prefer the feel of the Les Paul Standard Plus. The flatter neck has always suited my playing style. Add in some serious sustain and I think it's worth the money. Almost forgot the locking Grover Keystone Tuners. Something else the Studio does not have. However if your looking for a great guitar at around $800 you will not be dissatisfied with a Gibson Les Paul Studio.
Good luck!

Strings can make a lot of difference in determining what sound you get from your guitar, so don't be too quick to save a couple bucks on strings. For an extra $5 or so you can step up to an Elixir or other high end string that is going to sound nice and full and hold up a little longer. If your new to the guitar I suggest getting a thin string. You'll lose a little volume but they will be easier to play. Good Luck!

Both companies make excellent guitars.

I find the Washburns to be a little more sturdy and heavier than the Ibanez. If you are just getting started you might want to consider something that will hold up like a Washburn.

On the other hand, I find the flatter neck of the Washburns Ive played, to not quite fit my hand. I much prefer an Ibanez for its playability. Good Luck!

There all great guitars. If forced to choose I would pick up a Gibson Vintage Mahogany. If its in good shape it will only increase in value. All three of these Gibson's are great investments.

They are both excellent guitars. If it we're me I'd go with the Honey Burst. You can't go wrong with a Les Paul.

I have a Washburn Mavrick BT-2 and it works fine for about anything but Jazz. it has double humbuckers, and is worth trying out.
