Usually, the lower end Epiphone stuff ($150-$400) is pretty much garbage. If it’s what I’m thinking, it runs about $500 on Musicians Friend. The Standard Les Paul’s they have are pretty good, so I’d bet that the Silverburst is just as good. I think the only difference is that color. I’m sure they both have Grover tuners, Alnico V pickups, and the Gibson specs.

Beginners: Epiphone Les Paul Special II Electric Guitar
Medium: Epiphone Les Paul 100 Electric Guitar (Heritage Cherry Sunburst)
Expert: Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Electric guitar Honey Burst

Careful about the prices, they’re not that cheap. Its about $170 and over..

I like the Les Paul Ultra II. It has a chambered body which makes it 5.5 pounds lighter than regular Pauls. It also has a third, magnetic pickup which gives it a nice acoustic sound. Sometimes these are on sale for less than $600.

I have the Epiphone Les Paul Silverburst and I absolutely love it. It is a beautiful guitar which you can’t take your eyes off of. It plays well too.
When it first came out it was $600 at Musicians Friend and Guitar Center. Sometimes on sale for $550. Unfortunately, it now looks like the price at both websites is up to $700. It could be that it’s such a hot best selling guitar or that the value of the U.S. dollar has dropped.
    The Gibson silverburst is $3400!!!
Just buy the Epiphone LP Custom Silverburst without any regrets. I’ve seen nothing but great reviews.
