Fender Squier
The Squier brand was purchased by the Fender company in 1965. The V.C. Squier Company had been selling strings to Fender as early as 1950. After acquiring Squier, Fender retired the brand name until the early 1980's. Fender was looking for a way to compete with lower priced import guitars from Japan. The Squier name was re-born for this purpose. Noted as the first approved reproductions of the Fender Stratocaster, Telecaster and Precision Bass, these guitars were bargain priced, but feature rich. The Strat and Tele featured slim or contoured bodies with triple or double-single-coil or dual-humbucking pickups.

- Squier Jagmaster - Upgraded redesigned Squier. Features a 24" scale for easy playability.
- Squier Tele - Great beginner guitar. Features 21 frets and two single coil pickups.
- Squier Strat - Three single coil pickups and a standard tremolo system.
- Squier Mini Strat - 20 frets and 3 single coil pickups. 22.75 Scale.
- Squier Bullet Strat - Great beginner guitar, features tremolo system, 3 single coil pickups and jumbo frets.
