Are Washburn guitars like cheapo WalMart guitars? Or are they good guitars?

Both companies make excellent guitars.
I find the Washburns to be a little more sturdy and heavier than the Ibanez. If you are just getting started you might want to consider something that will hold up like a Washburn.
On the other hand, I find the flatter neck of the Washburns Ive played, to not quite fit my hand. I much prefer an Ibanez for its playability. Good Luck!
